This study aimed to determine the effect of feeding frequency on growth, nutrition, and survival indices in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). In this experiment, 216 rainbow trout with an average weight of 38 ± 0.11 g were distributed in 18 (300-liter fiberglass) tanks complete randomly. Three experimental treatments include different feeding times 1, 3, and 5 times a day (treatments 1, 2, and 3, respectively), were fed with 6 replications and based on 5% of biomass weight for 90 days. At the end of the experimental period, a significant difference was observed in all growth indices. In all these indicators, treatment 2 was superior to treatment 3. A significant difference was observed between treatments 2 and 1. The results of measuring feed efficiency ratio in this study showed that feed efficiency in treatment 1 has the lowest value and has a significant difference with treatments 2 and 3 (P<0.05). The highest value of this index was observed for treatment 2, while there was no significant difference with treatment 3. The lowest survival rate was observed in treatment 1, and the highest value was observed in treatment 2. The economic efficiency ratio showed the three times a day in treatment 2 the most cost-effective feeding times. So that the maximum amount of food cost was observed in treatment 1, and the minimum amount was observed in treatment 2. The results showed the frequency of feeding 3 times a day in terms of production in rainbow trout.

The aim of this study was to investigate the different levels of dietary fucoidan on growth performance, survival and biochemical parameters of Litopenaus vannamei. Shrimps with a mean initial weight about 8 g were fed with four different diets containing four levels of fucoidan (0, 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.4%) for 30 days in a completely randomized design with triplicates. The results showed that the growth performance (final weight, weight gain, feed conversion ratio and specific growth rate) of shrimp fed with diet containing fucoidan was significantly (P <0.01) improved compared to shrimps fed with control diet. The best growth performance was observed in shrimps fed diet containing 0.4% fucoidan. Survival did not show a significant difference between the groups fed with fucoidan supplementation and control (P> 0.05). The biochemical parameters of hemolymph including glucose, triglyceride and cholesterol were significantly reduced in shrimps fed with different levels of fucoidan compared to the control group. However, the amount of protein in the groups fed with fucoidan supplementation increased compared to the control. The activity of alanine aminotransferase and aspartate aminotransferase enzymes in hemolymph of control shrimp was higher than shrimps fed with fucoidan diet. In general, the results of the present study revealed that diets containing different levels of fucoidan, especially 0.4%, led to the increment of growth indices and the improvement of hemolymph biochemical parameters, thus improving of the health status of shrimp.

In this study, genetic diversity of Pinctada persica population was evaluated using PCR-RFLP method. To determine and compare genetic diversity of P. persica populations in khark, shidvar, hendurabi and larak islands, 51 samples were collected from 1-6 m depths. DNA of samples was extracted by CTAB method. A pair of primers of Pinctada persica was used for polymerase chain reaction. Enzymatic digestion of PCR yield was performed using, AvaΙΙ, DdeΙ, HindIII, SfaNΙ and TaqΙ restriction enzymes. DNAs were collected and stained with silver staining after subjected to poly acrylamide gel electrophoresis The results revealed that electrophoresis and enzymatic digestion fragments of the 51 samples collected from four stations in the northern coast of Persian Gulf with all 5 enzymes were the same The results of this study confirm that Pinctada persica Based on the studied gene is completely homogenous in these stations and show no genetic diversity.

In this study, two populations of Aphanius ginaonis (Holly, 1929) and Aphanius dispar (Ruppell, 1828) were examined to determine genetic diversity using PCR-RFLP technique. A total of 60 individual specimens were collected from Hormozgan and Bushehr internal waters, comprising two sampling sites; from Geno hot spring (30 individuals of A. ginaonis) and Mir Ahmad hot spring (30 individuals of A. dispar). The D-loop region of mitochondrial DNA (550 bp) was amplified using PCR followed by RFLP analysis based on 5 restriction endonucleas enzymes (AluI, DpnI, Eco47I, HindIII HinfI). In order to undertake data analysis, Arlequin 3.11 was applied. Results at population levels indicated that Geno individuals have more haplotype diversity than Mir Ahmad individuals (9 and 3 haplotypes respectively). However, further investigation using genetic techniques is required to clarify the molecular history and evolution of Aphanius species in this area. Results obtained from this research would be applicable to understand conservation genetics and management of this important fish species in Iran.

According to the importance of growth hormone gene in aquaculture, in this study, cloning of gowth hormone gene of Orange-spotted grouper (Epinephelus coioides) was examined in pTZ57R/T vector. For this purpose, growth hormone cDNA was preparated and amplified using specific designed primers. PCR product was purified by QIAquick Gel Extraction Kit, Growth hormone gene was inserted in pTZ57R/T vector. Ligation product was transformed into competent E.coli (DH5α) cells. The white clones selected on the LB media and were extracted plasmid as recombinant bacteria .verified clones obtained in this study were performed by direct PCR and sequencing methods Orange-spotted grouper growth hormone cDNA contains an open reading frame consisting of 615 nucleotides and 204 amino acid protein. The calculated molecular weight and isoelectric point of growth hormone protein were respectively 23.014 and 6.9. Results of this study suggested that growth hormone gene of Orange-spotted grouper was successfully cloned in the pTZ57R/T vector, and can be used for growth hormone gene expression in expression vectors and growth hormone protein production. Comparison of gene sequences obtained with E.coioides GH gene sequence in gene bank, indicate sequence similarity between them.
